Whole House Automation:

Whole house automation is the central control system of a fully automated home. In a fully automated home it is the control/computer system that keeps everything running smoothly and on time. Without this many of the more advanced functions of an automated house are not possible. Control of automated systems is completely possible without a centralized control device but having a centralized control device helps in the control and adds even more features and accessibility.

A centralized control device allows for a single point of access to control all features of the house without having to use multiple different control systems. With a main control system you can set up away modes which can cycle lighting schemes to make others think that you are home when you actually aren't. Timed events can be set up allowing better control of the HVAC system and zone controllers. A security system can also be tied into the central controller allowing for quick and easy to understand alerts from the security system. You can even monitor your house while not home from any internet connection in the world and make system updates and changes.
